First day back home!

Easter is here, and I'm back home in Trondheim. I always go home for easter, some traditions I need.
I spend my time in this city differently every time, but of course there are some standard stuff. For instance, at the moment I'm eating my mothers meat bolls. It's the best, so I always ask for them.

After breakfast I drove in to the city center to have a coffee and a walk around town. As every time I'm home, I got surprised by the building and changing of the city. The know how to keep busy, that's for sure.

When the coffee was done with, I walked over to the Nidaros Cathedral. It's a special place for me, so I enjoyed my time there. I didn't go in today, some times it is enough to feel the stone and look at the shapes.

In any cultural city, or at least any city that would like to be, present their guests and inhabitants with great art in their surroundings. Everyday life with art in it is better than everyday life without. Therefor I present for you some pictures I took on my way around Trondheim center today.

One of the Cathedrals neighbors is Trondheim Kunstmuseum. They have an exhibition of the great artist Håkon Bleken. The man is an "institution" in Trondheim, and a legend in the Norwegian art scene. He was born in Trondheim in 1929, consider his breakthrough to be the series of charcoal drawings called Fragments of a dictatorship in 1971, and is still lively productive.
Among the large number of works displayed at Trondheim Kunstmuseum, was a few self-portraits, studies and charcoal drawings. Also a documentary about the artist is shown. A fun, informative, personal and interesting documentary that is!
